APH:OC: The Original 13

I've been drawing a lot of State OC's lately, so here you go, the original thirteen colonies of America as I envision them.

Going from the bottom and working our way to the top:

Row One:
Delaware: He tends to put people to sleep when he talks. Boring, mild-mannered, and with a fondness for cardigan sweaters, he tends to be pushed aside.
Virginia: The "mother" of the states. She's a lover, not a fighter, and she's all about history, sometimes to the point of being nostalgic. A rather plain-looking girl, but nice, so very nice.
Massachusetts: Somewhat of a rebel, though you couldn't tell under all his Ivy League garb. Used to be paranoid about witchcraft, but now actively uses it. Under no circumstances should he be allowed to drive or be served tea. His kitty's name is Morgan.
Row Two:
North Carolina: A genius who sometimes works herself to exhaustion, causing her to sleep at odd hours. Sometimes she'll sleep through important things, leaving her out of the loop. When she's awake, she's very spacey.
New York: An irritable guy with some questionable...connections. Often loud-mouthed or in a hurry. His crankiness is attributed to the fact that he rarely sleeps. Regardless of his personality, he always manages to be the go to guy for information.
Pennsylvania: A good natured guy. He often finds himself being the voice of reason. He is very blunt, and realistic as well.
South Carolina: Your average hard-core Marine. Proud of her country, protective of her fellow states, and not afraid to dish out the pain. She intimidates the other states, except for her twin who always knows how to calm her down.
Row Three:
New Jersey: A foul tempered girl who can either be a lot of fun or a lot of trouble. She's aware of her bad reputation, and tries her best to improve it, but she just can't help being, well, New Jersey. Oh, and don't make fun of her accent.
Georgia: A sweet southern belle in Daisy Dukes. She's all about southern hospitality and good ol' fashioned southern cuisine. She also has a fondness for the fine arts, and is a little offended when this surprises people.
Rhode Island: One of the shorter states, and often mistaken as being younger. His driving skills rival Massachusetts for being the worst in the states, if not the world. He's very sarcastic and a pain in the neck if he doesn't have his morning coffee.
Row Four:
Connecticut: A nice, quiet guy. He likes the ocean and is good with his money (for the most part). Rumor has it that he and Massachusetts have a thing for each other, but it has yet to be confirmed. He is very close with the other states of New England.
New Hampshire: A hard-working, independent individual. He's very simple, not needing much to make him happy. He usually keeps to himself.
Row Five:
Maryland: Smart girl who always has her nose in a book. She likes science, and is always researching, this causes her to be very awkward in social situations. She knows biology and chemistry, not people.

I'm very proud of this work. I've never taken longer on anything. I hope y'all like it as much as I do ^^
